In 2012, I started a career in our family business, VanDyk Mortgage, which was already a large established lender, and I worked a year as a junior underwriter. I then moved to the administrative side of the business as a Compliance Specialist for a year where I learned the “nuts and bolts” about the backroom of that phase of mortgage lending. My passion to work “hands on” with people drove me towards the sales side of the industry where I can share the excitement of our customers in buying a home. My current positon is as a Loan Originator, which I now have been doing over 3 years, in our Sarasota, Florida office. I like the challenge of calculating the numbers part of the application process and finding great solutions for my customers. This is one of the most rewarding aspects of working in the business and the time seems to fly by!
